Forgot your password? Is there still any variance in days till water and electricity shut off? So far I remember there was once a variance in days till water or electricity shut off. If you were lucky you could get water or electricity for up to 1 month but if you were unlucky it shuts down even at day 1. Moreover, both weren't bind together. So electricity could last longer than water and vice versa. Easiest way is to start a sandbox game and leave all other settings as default a part from Electricity and Water Shutoff times. Before i started to play sandbox mode it seemed that water and power was cut off after week or so. Yes, Survival mode is now day 14 for both Water and Electricity to be shut off, at least it has been for the past several games I've played. The frustrating part is that when setting up the sandbox for a SP game you can set a number of ranges.

Water and electricity are crucial in Project Zomboid, knowing when these resources will be cut off and being prepared is essential for survival. At Project Zomboid, by default custom sandbox options, water and electricity are cut off at a random time within 14 days. Once the electricity shut off, your survival becomes very difficult because the fresh food in the refrigerators in the game eventually rots. This means that you can only use canned food left in the containers. Even if you build a farm, it won't help because you can't use a refrigerator because you don't have electricity.
