If we compare the two of them based on their feats and abilities, Kaido is equal, if not superior to Whitebeard. Now we compare their haki, both of them have shown advanced armament and advanced conquerors and there is no way of proving either of them are better than the other, then Kaido has also displayed future sight, whereas Whitebeard hasn't and as many of us know, future sight is a massive advantage as we see in the Luffy vs Katakuri fight, so Kaido and Whitebeard have equal haki and if anything, Kaido's haki game is better overall due to the addition of future sight.
