Preston told the Observer of meeting Knoxville, "I met Knoxville from a couple of commercial auditions together where they say, 'You two and you two and you two together' and you start visiting with whoever you're going into the audition room with and try to get to know them so you can get a little bit of chemistry together. Lacy was born on August 14, , in either Sarcoxie [1] or Carthage, Missouri. Lacy first met Johnny Knoxville through Knoxville's ex-wife, who ran a clothing company. Lacy was hired to transport textiles for the clothing company. After becoming friends with Knoxville, Lacy began to suggest ideas for the Jackass series to him. He starred alongside Chris Kattan in the film Christmas in Wonderland.
