A talented Pokemon fan has created and shared pixel art online of several of the Gen 1 critters with the Poison-typing. It is so highly regarded that Nintendo released the Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green remakes , which were the first ever in the series a few years later. However, since these were the very first creatures that players were introduced to in the franchise, they hold a special place in their hearts. Over on the Pokemon subreddit, a fan artist going by the handle NekuDemon has posted pixel art creations of several Poison-type Pokemon from the first generation. The next Pokemon revealed were Ekans and Arbok, whose purple and golden tones reinforced that they were critters who wielded poison effectively. There were also Zubat and Golbat, whose wings the artist changed the color of by making them more red, which makes them stand out against the blue background.
