All the forgiveness and performance of the G with more adjustability and better sound. That commitment to getting every player into the perfect club is evident in the new G Plus driver. Not only does it feature a moveable weight to customize ball flight, it also has an upgraded hosel adjustment system. I was very excited to test it and see if it could dethrone my beloved G Max. What is different is that the Dragonfly Technology is no longer visible on the back of the head. Compared to my G Max, the cc G Plus driver looks smaller and more streamlined. Also, the back of the crown is cleaner and sleeker looking. I remember hitting the G for the first time and remarking to the fitter that the sound was a massive upgrade over the previous generation. My best swings mirrored the results from my G Max game: high launch, low spin, fully optimized carries. What was impressive is that the G Plus also went toe-to-toe with the G Max on forgiveness. Even tragic mishits maintained strong ball speed, high launch, and low spin. My worst swings were carrying 30 or 35 yards short of my best ones instead of losing 50 yards or more. The tungsten weight slides along the back edge of the driver to keep MOI high. It can screw into three positions: fade, neutral, or draw. For me, moving the weight shifted the sweet spot noticeably.
Matt Thanks for the prompt reply. Final Score : 97 out of points.
Trajectory Tuning 2. To get the most distance from your driver, you must optimize the launch angle and spin rate of the ball by selecting the proper loft and shaft flex for your swing speed. Generally, golfers with slower swing speeds require more-lofted drivers and more-flexible shafts to achieve the proper launch conditions. Conversely, golfers with faster swing speeds generally require lower-lofted drivers and firmer shafts. We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences.

Obviously, the somewhat faint horizontal line represents center line and yardages. We changed back to the stiff shaft and with the same - setting. I need and want one that helps me have consistent distance and most of all, goes straight! Thanks for all the great reviews over the years.
Ping has certainly upped its game with the G Plus driver. It appears to have added moveable weight as well as expanded loft adjustability without sacrificing what made G such an impressive offering, giving fitters more opportunity to eek out extra yards while controlling dispersion.
My only gig is the head cover. What was really interesting to me is that a lot of the engineering goes into trying to make a driver sound good and still have it perform really well. We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. You can also set the lie angle up to 3 degrees flat. My fitting took place at the range and using the ES14 launch monitor. PING G You lost me on this one… Now as for feel, not much I can iterate here other than…well…it just feels good. Left Hand orientation. The more I hit it, the more my hearing adjusted to the sound and it became more and more pleasing. If so, that head could potentially change my tune. Score: 19 out of 20 points. I had two rounds where a really struggled with my swing, but even then the G produced relatively great results.
