Ping g15
And that love continued in the hands of our test team who raved about the mix of power, forgiveness and feel, ping g15. The G15 features a seven per cent larger face than the 10 model and this, ping g15, coupled with the Ping g15 Sole Weight Pad, means it is more forgiving than before as well as also being lower-spinning — so even better players can take advantage. Leon preferred the looks of the i15 but admitted that was no reason not to put this one in the bag, commenting particularly on the solid feel and forgiveness while John returned one of his best dispersion ratings with no compromise on distance — exactly what a player of his handicap is looking for. Undoubtedly a ping g15 winner to round off a Ping first and second!
Every year it seems like one company after another hypes up the release of their new driver yet to the point almost no one even listens anymore. Because every year so many of them fall short of their promises and claims. Of course every company is going to try and hype their product…we get it…that is what sells clubs. But we are out to have the most informed golf blog on the planet. So…if it is good we will tell you it is good and if it is bad we will tell you just how bad it really is.

With a club as easy to hit as the G15 hybrid, why fight a difficult long iron? The new G15 hybrid offers great distance, incredible forgiveness, and loads of versatility in a new package. PING has been a major innovator in the industry for quite a while. Up until this point, my experience with PING clubs had been limited to their drivers and putters. Though I never pulled the trigger on it, the Rapture V2 was in my opinion one of the best drivers I had ever hit. Normally, hybrids fit in great with this demographic, though there are always golfers who want to play long irons over the hybrid counterparts. Instead, think of this hybrid as being more like a driving iron, similar to the hybrids made popular by Adams. The intention of this design is to make the player set up to hit this hybrid the same way they would with a regular iron. Perimeter weighting is provided by a large internal toe pad in order to provide forgiveness and assists in locating the center of gravity low and close to the face for a high launch and low spin. In fact, PING is calling the G15 their longest and most forgiving hybrid to date, thanks to the previously mentioned toe pad. Esthetics Again, the G15 hybrid looks much like a driving iron, but with a shortened, curving black head.
But I do think these pings can help the indians.
If the G10 provides maximum forgiveness then what do you call an iron that provides even more forgiveness? PING calls it the G For me, I imagine the silky smooth feel of the sweet spot. I visualize the ball curving through the air at will. I can almost see the ball falling to the green with just enough spin to bounce twice and then stop. They might look down desperately searching for that microscopic sweet spot, trembling at the thought of the painful reverberations of a mis-hit.

The G15 features a seven per cent larger face than the 10 model and this, coupled with the External Sole Weight Pad, means it is more forgiving than before as well as also being lower-spinning — so even better players can take advantage. Leon preferred the looks of the i15 but admitted that was no reason not to put this one in the bag, commenting particularly on the solid feel and forgiveness while John returned one of his best dispersion ratings with no compromise on distance — exactly what a player of his handicap is looking for. Undoubtedly a worthy winner to round off a Ping first and second! Ratings out of 5 : Looks : 4. An external weight pad at the back of the club helps to move the centre of gravity lower and further away from the face, meaning a powerful launch.

And that brings us to our Ping G15 review today…and is another reason why I talked about hype. You rarely hear it coming from this company. But year in and year out after all is said and done and all the hype from the all the other companies has died down…if you start asking guys what feels the best and what driver they have liked the most…a Ping driver is almost always in the conversation.

These might seem like minor changes but I find them to be pretty significant improvements. Notify me of followup comments via e-mail. None of the other clubs are adjustable and as a plus handicap player I never saw much effect in adjusting the weights. For those who are still with me, thank you. But the adjustability tech is here to stay in my opinion. I am Medicare age but do not like graphite shafts because IMO they perform erratic, especially in the senior-soft-regular flex. Had the G15 for 6 years and they are stil outstanding. Well, like the G15 driver, I took a nice long roll of impact tape, grabbed a few hundred golf balls, and parked myself in front of a launch monitor for an afternoon. K15 with a wider sole? I have broke into the 80's which I could never do before. Firstly let me say one thing, ignore what you might read about the way these irons look, once you've hit them the looks will be the last thing on your mind! In fact, the highest handicap player had nearly a three-degree increase in trajectory with the G15s. Write Your Review:. Putters Feb 29, How do these hybrids compare to the Rapture V2 hybrids in terms of forgiveness and playing out of the rough and on the fairway?
I love the fitting cart and the color coded scale Ping created years ago that make sure every golfer can get the exact lie angle needed for maximum performance. I am a red dot player. Just like always, they came in spot on.
I love them. What is the difference between the red dot and the black dot? However since going for the G graphites my experience is that I now only hit straight and never a thin shot as I had them fitted and have a bit of extra length on the shaft. Is this just a case of getting used to the club, or does anyone else experience this problem. The quality of the irons just gets better and better and the brilliant G15s are no exception. When he arrived back at the GC with the clubs, I must admit I was initialy dissapointed with the asthetic look of these clubs, and it put me off taking them seriously. I should be able to try them out on the range in another couple of weeks. I purchased the G15 a few weeks ago and now have 4 rounds of hitting with it. It replaced my 5 iron. The first thing to say is just how forgiving these clubs are — 7g of weight has been redistributed to the perimeter of the club to ensure better ball-striking on off-entre hits, while the thinner face than the previous G10 means you get more distance on your shots. Good strikes with the G15 irons are rewarded with a soaring ball flight and ample distance, off center strikes are also rewarded with a minimal drop off in distance, in fact I've looked at my club several times expecting a mark in the center of the face, only to find it towards the toe or heel! I was pretty satisfied with myself when I literally hit almost every club in my bag three to five yards farther with the G15 than the G Did you buy club directly from Ping? Golfers always want to try what someone else has got if they are hitting it well.
