The collision between a sedan and a van occurred on Picton Road, at the intersection of Mount Keira Road, around 1. The male driver of the sedan died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified. The male driver of the van suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter to St George Hospital, in a stable condition. Acting Insp urged people to drive to the conditions and be "patient and cautious while on the road".
