Pearlie is an animated comedy series based on the children's book series Pearlie the Park Fairy by Wendy Harmer. Pearlie is a park fairy appointed by Fairy Headquarters to keep Jubilee Park in order. She is assisted by Jasper, an elf who prefers to not do any real work. There is also Opal, an outback fairy from Australia sent to learn the ropes of park management from Pearlie. Pearlie's cousin Saphira is jealous of Pearlie's popularity in the fairy world and desperately wants her to be fired. With her assistant Ludwig, a common bat , Saphira sets out to spoil perky Pearlie's day any way she can.

Pearlie ludwig

Ludwig is a main character in the Pearlie series. He is the assistant of Saphira and one of the main antagonists. Ludwig is a dark grey common bat with yellow eyes. He wears black glasses along with a red necktie. This Dracula wannabe has two secrets: one he's blind without his glasses; and two, he's infatuated with Saphira, though she's the one blind to that. Ludwig never lets anyone see him without his glasses on, which leads to much slapstick as he obeys Saphira's requests for him to scare the residents of the park. His blind flights have a Kamikaze style to them that most people think is intentional, even though he's just trying to find a place to land. He does enjoy the fear he causes, but wishes he didn't have to crash into walls to do it. In his private moments, he studies books on romance and poetry trying to find the right way to tell Saphira how he really feels. Ludwig is the dimwitted loyal sidekick and assistant to Saphira.

Pearlie fills in for a handsome male tooth fairy called Finn, but she realizes she has forgotten the most important rule of a tooth fairy, pearlie ludwig.

Pearlie Sezonul 1. Pearlie shows Opal the ropes while Saphira meddles with Pearlie's park to do lists. Pearlie's Moth Ball turns into a brawl when Saphira invites rowdy butterflies. Pearlie follows the advice of a telephone psychic believing it to be the 'Great Fairy'. Pearlie has to play tooth fairy after a cute tooth fairy Finn injures himself in her park.

Appointed by Fairy HQ, Pearlie is a year old park fairy who keeps Jubilee Park in sparkling order Her famous catchphrases are "stars and moonbeams", "hurly-burly", "roots and twigs", and "buds and blossoms! Pearlie has no idea of her cousin's evil plans, always thinking the best of her. She has a crush on Leif. The two almost shared a kiss in one episode but was cut short because Pearlie's aunt was calling her. On one of the episodes, she is trapped in a plant poisoned by evil led by Saphira's potions. Whether this was an intended plot against Pearlie or not is unknown, since Saphira herself did not appear in that episode. Pearlie is optimistic about the park and its citizens. She is also a workaholic, having a very busy schedule. She is somewhat of a deluded-do-gooder who thinks she knows what is best for everyone else.
