Ask a new question. PC was on and i was out for sometime. When i came back, i saw the pc in off state. When i pressed power button the power button glow for 2 sec and then went off. Again i pressed the power button again the same thing. I connected the power adaptor but, there is no sign of being charged. Charger connected light in the side was also not glowing. It's like the pc was in dead state and only the power button is glowing for 2sec then off. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Its already in off state. On a desktop computer, there are two lights: one for power and another indicating storage device hard disk drive or solid-state drive activity. The following sections go over each type and whether or not it is normal for these lights to blink. Normally, the light on or surrounding the computer's power button has a solid, consistent glow. However, if the computer is in sleep or standby mode , it is normal for this LED light-emitting diode to flash or blink. The light blinks to let you know the computer is still on but is in a power-saving mode. If your computer is in one of these states, pressing any keyboard key or mouse button should exit and bring you to the computer's lock screen.

When I press the power button, the LED lighting at the back flashes, and the fan moves a tiny amount, but it doesn't turn on. It does the same when I release the button. I had put the computer to sleep the night before as usual , and it just wouldn't wake up today. It was showing the flashing sleep signal on the power button, indicating it was asleep and not off, but it still wouldn't wake. I've tried holding down the power button, and I've tried removing and replugging the mains power, to no effect. There is a green light on the motherboard, so I believe it to be a power-related issue, but I don't know.

Ask a new question. I'm curious to know why the power button on my brand new PC keeps flashing while it's turned on. It blinks about 5 times rapidly, pauses for around 1 second, and then repeats this sequence until I shut down the PC. Interestingly, the same flashing pattern occurs when I turn it on again. I'm unsure if this is a problem that requires attention. It's worth noting that my PC case doesn't come with a reset button and hangs loose inside of the case, although I don't think that would be the underlying issue. Was this reply helpful?

Yeah Ive pulled the plug and even turned off the switch where the power cord goes. This behavior is completely normal. Power should be removed prior to opening the case.
