Zote can be found in a corridor leading back to the storerooms of the City of Tears. He has forgotten the Knight and introduces himself again. Found stuck in spider webs, presumably having been captured by the beasts of Deepnest. Once again the Knight has the choice to either save him or leave him, though this time leaving him does not result in his death. If saved, he once again complains about the Knight meddling in his supposed heroics. It's a strange thing though. There are no signs of conflict around the area. White Palace is a Location in Hollow Knight. Please see Walkthrough for other areas. The palace of The Pale King that has mysteriously vanished from the kingdom of Hallownest after the spread of The Infection. It is only accessible via the dream world by dream nailing the corpse of a Kingsmould with an Awoken Dream Nail. The journey continues as players will set forth into the White Palace. And to do this, you'll need to enter the Dream World by dream nailing the corpse of a knight at the Palace Grounds which is located at the Ancient Basin.
It's a strange thing though. There are no signs of conflict around the area. It's as though the whole place just vanished. The White Palace is an area in the Dream Realm. It used to be the palace of the Pale King but now primarily contains platforming challenges. The White Palace mainly consists of white and light grey architecture. The rooms contain large, tall windows which let in light from the outside. The palace is covered in white-grey leaves, roots, and ferns.

The world of Hallownest in Hollow Knight offers various locations to discover and explore. As you progress, you will uncover the lore of Hollow Knight, but few places reveal as much history as the White Palace. This was where the Pale King held power before the fall of Hallownest. This may leave you wondering how to get to the White Palace in Hollow Knight. With these in hand, head to the Ancient Basin and find the corpse of the Kingsmould in the Palace Grounds. The Monarch Wings give you a double jump which is required to reach the Palace Grounds. Once you reach this location, head to the furthest right section of the Ancient Basin and strike the Kingsmould Corpse with the Awoken Dream Nail to access the White Palace. This will awaken it and turn it into the Awoken Dream Nail, but you will need to return to the Seer to upgrade it.

Ancient Basin is a desolate area which is positioned below the Royal Waterways. It is mostly devoid of life except for some severely Infected lifeforms.

Hit the switch, then continue to your left where you'll find yourself back to where the main switch is, flip the lever then head back outside and head to the southwestern side of the room to reach the second lever to open the gates for the lift. Who is that creeping out of the darkness? And you'll have to pass through more circular saw blades and spiked metals that emerge from walls, ceilings, and platforms.
