Paint Shop Pro offers a lot of features for not much money, but only on paper. PaintShop Pro is one of the longest running photo editors for Windows users, starting life years ago as a shareware tool and then evolving first with JASC software and now Corel, into a broad-based image editing suite. PaintShop Pro Ultimate is actually the same as the regular PaintShop Pro , but bundled with a whole lot more extras, in true Corel style. These extras include MultiCam Capture 2. The Ultimate edition sounds great value, then, but it includes a lot of stuff you might not want or need which comes with its own separate installers. The Manage window is where you browse, organize, search and tag your images, while the Edit window is the photo editing mode. This is a long, long way from Lightroom, though.

Corel PaintShop Pro is a comprehensive image-editing program that offers the vast majority of the features its rivals do, notably Adobe Photoshop. Its biggest frustration is that the look and feel are so different from the Complete workspace that it can be jarring. The same can also be said for the raw image editor. As with all new software, there are AI tools. However, these tools are similar to those Adobe has been using for years, even back when AI was just a scary buzzword. Some of the AI tools do an excellent job of masking images or reducing noise; they just don't seem as precise and intelligent as Adobe offerings. And there's no Generative Fill - the real cherry on the Photoshop cake.
