Ite been a cracking car ive owned her for years and had no problems with it up until last week. The wife was using it and sudden lack of power limp mode arose pulling away form slow traffic ,stop start stuff.. All was good , i set off in it and it the speed was a fantastic difference , it could catch pidgeons. What a difference but just as i came to a lay by i pulled in and let it tick over for a short while 2 mins I tried to pull away and it fell back into a sort of limp mode again, so annoying!! I turned the ignition off and restarted the car and it was normal again full power AGAIN Got it home and by now the engine management light came on. I have a code reader and it showed the error P , which is showing the fuel pressure regulator performance 1 I removed the code and went for another short drive and everything was ok. The wife has been to work in it today it happened twice today reduced limp power and on a restart it was fine. The light has come back on again , and ive removed it probably until tomorrow when it will return again.. Can anyone help as i dont want to get ripped off at a garage!!! Thanks :bigcry:.

P Nissan OBD2 may also be triggered by faults earlier down the line. For example, a dirty MAF sensor might be causing the car to overcompensate in its fuel-trim adjustments. As a result, oxygen sensors are likely to report fuel mixture problems. Some problems such as misfires and evaporative emission EVAP leaks can be very challenging to nail down. Misfires can be caused by ignition problems, fuel problems or compression problems. The underlying cause might be fouled spark plugs, bad plug wires, a weak ignition coil, dirty injectors, a shorted or open injector, low fuel pressure, a vacuum leak, a leaky head gasket, burned exhaust valve or a camshaft with a bad lobe. The rule of P Nissan code when it comes to emissions-related vehicle repair is that any modification that changes the vehicle from a certified configuration to a non-certified configuration is considered tampering: this applies to both vehicle owners and repair facilities and is, therefore, a Federal offense.
