A zombie Haitian French : zombi , Haitian Creole : zonbi , Kikongo : zumbi is a mythological undead corporeal revenant created through the reanimation of a corpse. In modern popular culture, zombies are most commonly found in horror and fantasy genre works. The term comes from Haitian folklore , in which a zombie is a dead body reanimated through various methods, most commonly magical practices in religions like Vodou. Modern media depictions of the reanimation of the dead often do not involve magic but rather science fictional methods such as carriers , fungi , radiation, mental diseases , vectors , pathogens , parasites , scientific accidents, etc. The English word "zombie" was first recorded in in a history of Brazil by the poet Robert Southey , in the form of "zombi". One of the first books to expose Western culture to the concept of the voodoo zombie was W. Seabrook 's The Magic Island , the account of a narrator who encounters voodoo cults in Haiti and their resurrected thralls.

Origins is the main gamemode for Excavation Site 64 , playable in Dig Site. It contains many new features such as Generators , a new Panzer Soldat enemy, and 3 Giant Robots. The Mystery Box and Pack a Punch got makeovers, and new weapons are available. A new Power Up and melee weapon, new enemies, and a very complicated easter egg, this map has a LOT to offer. Digging There are four Shovels located around the map. Two of them are in the spawn room. The other two spawn randomly but they are usually found in a tunnel or near the Mark IV Tank. Note: Digging up a Golden Helmet will enable you to be stomped on by a Giant Robot and not take any damage, but you will be Stunned. Also, if you have the Golden Shovel, there is a way to obtain more perks. You must obtain the shovel, turn it gold, and then grab a Zombie Blood. During Zombie Blood mode, look around for a glowing orange Bonepile. If you successfully reach it and dig, an Empty Perk Bottle will appear, and grabbing it will permanently give you an extra perk slot for the rest of the game. Generators are newly added features that power nearby machines. The more players, the longer Generators take to capture with less players actively capturing. Every now and then, Templar Zombies will attack generators, and during capture will try to attack and stop you.
For Step origins zombie, the zombie runs clockwise around the excavation site if you're facing the church, so run counter clockwise to find him quicker.
It is the seventeenth Zombies level to be released, and the first to feature the Primis crew. This map was later remade in full as part of the Zombies Chronicles downloadable content for Black Ops III , along with seven other classic maps. These incarnations of their characters are known as "Primis", and are feature some differences from the "Ultimis" incarnations that players had become accustomed to.
