This rustic seaside restaurant sits on the side of a cliff just around the harbour from Boca de Tomatlan. Arriving in the quaint little town of Tomatlan, the driver took us down to the docks, where we enjoyed a cocktail at El Embarcadero on the wharf while we waited for the water taxi to take us around the point of the bay to the restaurant. It was quite interesting seeing the activities going on, on the dock. Damn they were busy, loading flooring tiles, mattresses, furniture, beer pop and groceries. Boats came and went. As one cleared with its goods, the next one moved in, in unorganized, but gentlemanly chaos. We were advised to relax and hit the dock around for the boat to the Ocean Grill for our pm sitting. All went well. The boat costs are added to the restaurant bill. The experience at the restaurant was a good one, and a 3 piece jazz type band showed up and they were excellent.

Almost from the beginning there were issues with corrosion, lights being stolen, burning out and so forth. There have been concerns as to the stability of the sail, and whether the whole thing would fall over in a good wind.
