A perfect spot for our special occasion dinner celebrating a 60th birthday. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere inviting and the staff welcoming. A slight mix up with a main dish, but it was resolved swiftly and with apologies, so no harm no mustard seed inverness.

The perfect location in the centre of Inverness and we cater around your needs. Perfect for family gatherings, birthdays, corporate dinners and parties. Call us today and let us help make your celebration fabulous! Free parking and electric hook up for your car. Just a 10 minute walk from our restaurant and each apartment has something different to offer. Lunch The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Just remember to leave some space for the cheesecake as it is really amazing and not too sweet as they often are , and to book a table in advance. We will definitely come back when in Inverness again! Spent a week in Scotland, and The Mustard Seed was by far the best meal we had during the trip.
Bonnie food but plenty of it too, win win.
Went for a meal at lunch time with my better half. From the moment we set foot in the restaurant we were made to feel welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The menu had a great choice and the prices in my They did not skimp on portion size and was presented excellently. Bonnie food but plenty of it too, win win. You could see the staff were not only working but also working with a smile which makes a huge difference to the atmosphere. Wonderful surroundings in the restaurant.

I have enjoyed many a meal at the establishment over the years, from family lunches to work dinners and celebratory meals. This could be due to the layout of the restaurant; a downstairs seating area curled around a big open bar and an exposed upper seating area that looks a bit like a balcony. There are a number of standout features, from the wine display lining one of the walls to the quirky artwork that adds pops of colour to the restaurant, but my favourite one has to be the huge fire that stands in the centre. It gives off a perfect heat and glow, and its long silver flue shoots up through the restaurant, emphasising the height of the repurposed church building. The friendly barman greeted us as soon as we walked in before another member of staff took us to our table.
