Faith Connors is the main protagonist of Mirror's Edge. She is a Runner and the sister of Kate Connors. Faith was born into a family of 4, growing close to her mother, Erika, while Mirrors edge faith grew close to their father.
Faith was seven years old on the day of the November Riots and barely got away alive, saved by Noah Kekai, a friend of her parents. He became her adoptive father, raising her on the rooftops far above the city and inspiring her, though that wasn't his intent, to become a Runner. He has made sure to keep her out of the conflict between the Black November resistance movement and the Conglomerate, and Faith has adopted his neutral stance into her own. Though deeply scarred by the loss of her family, Faith has grown to become a self-assured, even cocky, young woman. A thrill-seeker, she runs more for the kick of it than for the money it pays. But deep down she knows that her current way of life can't last, and that one day she will be forced to take a real stand against the Conglomerate. However, their father sank into alcoholism after their mother was killed in the November Riots. Faith lives in a futuristic metropolis known only as the City. Here there is no disease and no obesity, but also no freedom. The beautiful, clean, and seemingly pure exterior masks the ugly, brutal regime that controls it, violently cracking down on alternate lifestyles. Runners live on the edge and train their eyes to seek out whatever objects they need to run or jump across to keep moving forward. As a relatively new Runner, Faith received a distinctive eye tattoo to celebrate her first successful run. Relationship Status Considering what they do is highly illegal, Runners avoid having attachments so they can avoid being tied down, literally and figuratively. Besides her loyalty to fellow Runners, the only emotional bond she maintains is her connection to her sister.

DICE's upcoming Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is a re-imagining of the original Mirror's Edge; we'll hear a different version of protagonist Faith's tale, and although we'll see familiar faces and hear familiar names, they may not be in the forms we remember.
