Go to Solution. Solved by mspeer. If this is what you're referring to I tried repathing the files but am confused that it shows 0 errors yet I still have this problem? Why not just uploading the scene and probably getting the needed information with the first answer? I highly recommend to update materials, shader networks and assignments, but the main problem is that. Maya Shading, Lighting and Rendering.
Maya texture not showing
I never ran into this prior to Maya Some textures just show up as a default icon. It makes the hypershader very difficult to navigate cause all the nodes look alike. And it propogates downstream, so when you're adjusting shading attributes, you don't get a preview in the material sample window. Perhaps there's a correlation to file format, but I've never noticed what that correlation might be. And again, it was never an issue in older versions of Maya. Some formats are not readable by maya software but are supported by mentalray, so they dont show up on the editor. Oh also if the textures are very big then maya bails out showing them, since they have upgraded the requirement charts they may have also lowered your default settings for max texture size to show. I used it when I need to refrash swatch many textures. But, sometimes textures loss well be happen when I selected too much textures!! Texture Icons not displaying Maya. I am trying to add some colours to my scene, but I have some problems when I try to put a 'wood' texture to an object. In my scene it shows the texture on the object, but when I render it using Arnold RenderView it displays the object with a gray colour instead with texture as shown in the scene. From the screenshot you can see I have activated the Smooth Shade All and Textured viewport display buttons, but the texture just doesn't show.
