This page tries to describe the flavour of G-codes that the Korotsuke firmwares use and how they work. The main target is additive fabrication using FFF processes. See also on Wikipedia's G-code article, m117 gcode.

Hello, I'm a long time observer of 3D printing and just recently found the time and money to get into it. I'm also getting into the firmware and trying to write some post processors for gcode. I was wondering why the firmwares uses the M command to display a message on the LCD. Using M violates the standard pretty heavily, by breaking the format of a line 3. Command M also has this issue. I don't mean to come off as righteous, specially being new to the community, but it seems like a bad idea to violate the standard. Is there a reason this was done this way, am I missing something?

Printer settings "Supports remaining times" exports progress Marling supports M73, but not from SD card at least they say so and it supports only progress P , not remaining time.

GCodes are a widely used machine control language. They are human readable and editable. RepRapFirmware follows the philosophy of "GCode everywhere", in essence the users or external program's interaction with the firmware should be through GCodes. There are GCodes for all supported control and configuration inputs along with status and debugging information. More details can be found on the GCodes not implemented page.

RepRapFirmware specific: Multiple colon-separated E values can be provided, so that different extruders can use different accelerations. M M??? This will be adjustable in an upcoming version of Marlin. It then enables compensation so that the nozzle will remain parallel to the bed. Note: If M is or becomes active on a heater or other device with a feedback sensor it will correct any M initiated control output value change in the time it takes for the PID of other feedback loop to adjust it back to minimum error. Acceptable song IDs are machine specific. Set the offset of the Z probe head. Use the optional parameters to list, reset or modify the distortion settings. Set the temperature of the current extruder to o C and return control to the host immediately i. M ; turn off fan. The function as implemented is a category 2 software stop with no redundancies. The specified SD card is released, so further accidental attempts to read from it are guaranteed to fail. Re-enabling can potentially cause upward tool movement as the adjustment is updated and applied. In Marlin 2.

This document describes the commands that Klipper supports. These are commands that one may enter into the OctoPrint terminal tab. For further details on the above commands see the RepRap G-Code documentation.

S to set laser intensity. The RepRap firmware spec treats G0 and G1 as the same command, since it's just as efficient as not doing so. It can be started again by pressing the reset button on the master microcontroller, although this step is not mandatory on RepRapFirmware. This process, known as " Homing ", is required to determine the position of the print carriage s. Libraries like mecode give you precise control over the tool path, and thus are useful if you have a complex print that is not suitable for naive slicing. Print time only works with graphical displays:. The timeout is currently set to 15min to allow the parts to fully heat up and cool down. No No No??? Note that the key date is appearance here, not date of implementation. By default this is configured for PLA temperatures and a nozzle size of 0. Short pauses between these commands and any that might follow them do not affect the performance of the machine.
