Like its smaller relatives, Lymantria sporarmis survives by draining plants and vegetables of their nutrients. Given the desolate nature of the region, that makes its options rather limited, but fortunately its relationship with the desert's plants is symbiotic. In addition to pollinating them, the spores it releases help nourish the harsh desert plants. When attacked, the slow-moving Lymantria immediately takes to the air and flies almost straight up while releasing spores. While the spores are nutritious to most plants, they are highly poisonous to most other organisms. Lymantria is occasionally used as a one man flying mount, but its ability to produce silk and spores is often considered more valuable due to its slow flight speed. Its silk can be weaved into heat-dispersing cloth, and its spores gathered for fertilizer or poison.

This guide will cover all the details about Alpha Lymantria desert moth's location and how you can tame it in Ark Scorched Earth. This moth is pretty easy to find and tame. Alpha Lymantria can be found in all areas of the Ark Scorched Earth, but some of the best locations where you can find them more often are shown on the map image below. If you are planning to tame this desert moth, we will recommend you bring in a tent with you. The tent will make the taming process a lot quicker and easier. Once you are prepared and have the required items, we can start the taming process. We will need a tent because Lymantria will fly away if we get close. The tent will prevent Lymantria from flying away. After that, all you have to do is find the Alpha Lymantria, which is not a difficult task, and trap it inside the tent. Trapping inside the tent can be a little tricky, but you can use the tranquilizer to slow it down and then use the tent. Your job will now be protecting it from other creatures and feeding it the food it loves. But before that, you will need to tranquilize it using the darts. Once it is under your control Regular Kibble and Berries are good enough to tame it.

The Lymantria Sporarmis is an insect-like herbivore that appeared in the Holocene Epoch that has an evasive temperament. Lymantria are ancient moths that are very large, almost the size of a human but retains most features of modern day moths. Wild Lymantrias are usually seen near bush groves in the desert, eating berries and at the same time pollinating them. Humans can approach the Lymantria without fear of being attacked unlike most creatures but the Lymantria will fly away if threatened, leaving behind spores to impair anything nearby.
