Lux sensor zigbee
Anyone got any recommendations for a zigbee lux sensor that I could use to better control lighting on overcast winter days? The Hue outdoor motion sensor reports lux and temperature. It does expose lux sensor zigbee values. The LAN driver I have reads those from the hub.
I am looking for zigbee light sensors. I don't care of there are other sensors attached but light lux is required. I've found a number of posts here in the community forums but the sensors that I've tried to find seem to not be around anymore. The only current name brand Zigbee sensor I'm aware of that includes Lux are both the indoor and outdoor Philips Hue motion sensors. It does have some limitations on lux reporting frequency 5 minutes, not adjustable , but they are dependable and accurate. Not an offically compatible illuminance sensor, but there is a community driver for a Xiaomi Mijia light sensor.

Is there any nice lux reading sensor for outdoors? I have a weather station that have almost everything but one thing it does not have is read how bright it is outside. I was thinking it can be fun to read Lux and maybe even UV. I have Mhz,Zigbee,Z-wave and wifi connect to my Home assistant. This gives a decent lux reading. ATG rooftop data washington. The Hue outdoor motion sensor reports lux and temperature. Especially, since they were not 'low cost', lux sensor zigbee, I paid USD 20 each, I should have sucked it up and bought the Hue devices, since I have wasted enough time to more and make up the difference. The only lux sensor I know of lux sensor zigbee might have a local operation is the Sensative zwave strip.

The Aqara light sensor and the hue multi sensor are other zigbee multi sensors that work with smartthings, but also require custom code. An option… which I have used but not presently, is a basic external lux sensor, smart plug and an external led 10w light wired in. Lux meter trips at 70 lux, power sense smart plug detects current draw, you will need the led light wired into the lux sensor so power can be drawn.

Lux sensor zigbee
Can anyone recommend a ceiling mounted lux sensor, I've found this Xiaomi one but not sure if it is compatible. Some have them running, me included, and they work great. For others, not so much, YMMV. To use in conjunction with an Aqara motion detector for hallway motion lighting. The Aqara has lux but it is positioned in a dark corner so doesn't give a good representation.

Very happy with it, and inexpensive. Many of their sensors work with generic DTH and so work locally. Fast response from all sensors and a Zigbee repeater to boot. Since you both seem to have very different results I am wondering if the binding being used has an effect, possibly a transformation, on the values being reported. They also do lux and temperature.
