Owned by the Kemp family, the venue showcases their business acumen from the nearby feedlot property, resulting in a vibrant and welcoming country homestead. With attention to detail and a strong focus on community, The Homestead Lotus Creek has become a cherished destination. Situated at Marlborough-Sarina Road, it is nestled on the banks of Lotus Creek, easily accessible via a bitumen road. The venue has a rich history, previously owned by Sandy as a service station and camping spot. However, after the devastating floods caused by Cyclone Debbie in , the property closed for a few years. With a vision for a vibrant country homestead, they embarked on transforming the site into a haven for locals and visitors alike. Under the guidance of David Kemp, the Kemp family embarked on renovating the property, which included two relocated Queenslander homes. The creekfront campgrounds provide spacious sites, allowing campers to enjoy campfires and mingle around the communal fire pit. Self-contained cabins offer comfortable accommodation with ensuite bathrooms and individual balcony verandahs. The venue also features concrete walkways, a floating pontoon for easy creek access, and gazebo and BBQ areas for outdoor enjoyment. With a focus on off-grid living, guests can escape the stresses of the outside world and immerse themselves in a tranquil environment. The fully equipped kitchen produces exceptional meals that cater to all tastes. Local takeaway takes on an extended meaning when it could be a km round trip! The menu features favourites like sausages, rissoles, steak, and vegetables, with mouth-watering burgers and perfectly cooked chips.

We booked for a second visit in February in our Caravan with our Kayaks. Beautiful trees lots of shade good swimming spot. Powered sites , excellent facilities. Great cafe and restaurant. Friendly staff,definitely, worth a visit. A little oasis off the beaten track. What an amazing spot.. Peace and tranquility along with amazing food and hospitality…put this on your bucket list….
