Part of it was clearly a career move, but I appreciated it nevertheless, and I thought it was very admirable to provide such an honest and helpful admission. I wasn't sure if I would like this book since it was written so long ago and by someone so young, but it stands the test of time. This is her story of why she took refuge from her unhappy young life in parties, alcohol and drugs, and her difficult and painful rehabilitation. It is still the crappiest autobiography I have ever read, but I can never throw it out. We receive 1 copy every 6 months. No longer talking to mom, no relapses and a successful actress again. Her recollection is full of happy episodes, which are as touching as the film itself, and it is easy to understand that the movie means a lot to them. I really admired how she told her abusive pig of a father to get out of her life, when she was eight, after achieving success in E. This is the autobio that Drew Barrymore wrote about herself at like the age of 15 in Yes, I still have it. The book's contents cover the events from her birth to her day of recovery at fourteen, and naturally considerable part is devoted to her days of decline into drinking and drug.

Her intention is to explain the difficulties of addiction and try to help others, as well as to give an honest account before others smeared her name with false assumptions and inaccuracies. She doesn't feel sorry for herself or celebrate her partying days with gratuitous details. In , then, "Little Girl Lost" was published. Drew Berrymoore does a wonderful job showing the reader the life experiences that she encountered as a young girl and teenager. With this book, I've learned how truly strong this woman is, and how no matter what she went through, she didn't ever back down at achieving what she wanted.
