Jake Allen jakesrepair. Posted: Dec 14, So a friend of mine damaged a laptop recently. It appears to be functional software wise, but the screen is damaged. Parts of the screen are black and have lines on it I have attached an image. I am assuming it is an LCD replacement. But before I order parts and do this repair, a second opinion would be helpful especially since this specific model had nothing on its page until I made this.

The display panel, also known as a screen, is the component that outputs visual information from a computer. Some signs your display panel may be faulty include a blank or black screen, flickering , no backlight, or horizontal or vertical lines. This cover is glued to the laptop. Please use caution as you use a spudger to disconnect the glue from the edge of the computer screen. Make sure the glue stays in tact on the cover.
