Abstract The growing multi-cultural social structure in the world has accelerated the language teaching studies at early ages. It is expected for this road map which includes factors such as the method and techniques to be used and assessment and evaluation principles to be instructive in teaching Turkish to young learners in a given age range. While the materials, activities, methods and techniques to be used to teach Turkish as a foreign language to young learners are determined, ages, physical, social and cognitive development levels of young learners should be taken into consideration along with their families, cultures and enviroments.
