This knitted wreath is a variation on my Woodland Wreath pattern but with a much more festive feel. I have adapted the original sets of leaves to make them more appropriate for mid winter and there are other decorations in keeping with the season. There are six patterns all together; this first one explains covering the wreath with knitting. The remaining five patterns, each with instructions for two sets of leaves or other decorations, will be published in December The Christmas Wreath uses mostly DK weight yarn and can be knitted with colours of your choice, depending on what you have. The first Christmas decorations I put up and the last ones I take down are always wreaths. Do you know how to knit a wreath? There are two main types of knit christmas wreath patterns. The first one has you knit a long rectangle super similar to a scarf and the second one has you knit a long tube.
