Bleach is a series that had a ton of potential before squandering it by the end of its run. It's a shame since the powers of the Shinigami and the idea of such entities existing in the real world were pretty captivating, but a lack of consistency in terms of power levels and story quality ultimately proved to be the series' downfall.
