Each year, parents spend millions of won and students spend hundreds of hours on supplemental education, and hagwon teachers are heavily invested in student success; it is critical to the proliferation of their careers. In this workshop, a current hagwon owner and former hagwon instructor will demonstrate how a hagwon's greatest expense is typically their most valuable asset: the teaching staff. We will give you a comprehensive overview of the private English teaching industry in Korea, concluding with a discussion on how hagwon teachers can rise above the negativity and positively motivate students to reach their full potential.
