Another long meeting is expected this afternoon so I won't have the luxury of a full one-hour lunch today after all the traveling. It's been a while since I last visited The Pawn so they're obviously very high on my list while Five Guys also received some consideration but no milkshake still! Hailed from Osaka, Kamitora Tonkotsu is a place highly touted for its rich pork bone broth. That's our chef right there I was told! As a fan of rich pork bone broths, I went with their creamy Kamitora Ramen which is tonkotsu-based and also happened to be their top seller. The noodles weren't bad.

Looks like they have already brought their signature tonkotsu ramen to China. Even though bits of fat floated on top of the broth, it was not oily or fatty at all. August 15, No such problem. I had chosen the thicker noodles with medium hardness. Even though bits of fat floated on top of the broth, it was not oily or fatty at all. I made the mistake of ordering the half boiled egg without realizing that it was already included in the ramen. Even though it looked quite lean, it was surprisingly tender and soft to eat. The broth was amazingly gratifying with rich flavors of pork bones, seafood and vegetables. The noodles weren't bad. More condiments like picked ginger and pickled takana were available as well. I sat along the counter where an ordering sheet had been placed in front of my seat already.
