I visited a friend in Kallangur recently and found it to be a very convenient spot. I can see why young families are moving here - decent priced housing and close to everything you need - decent local shops, close to the business park and shopping precinct in North Lakes, train station half an hour to the brissy CBD. Beach lovers can also rejoice, with a short drive to Deception Bay, Scarborough or Redcliffe. The new University of the Sunshine Coast Moreton Bay campus at the paper mill precinct is also shaping up nicely, so plenty of stuff going on and a well deserved, world class uni for the locals. Highly recommended.
