The Ear and Eye Drills are a pair of remote controlled devices fitted with a small drill that attach either to the ear or around the eye. They were created by the Teiai Corporation. Their expressed purpose is to allow those without funds to be able to wager the safety of their eyeball or eardrum instead. The wearer bets the remaining distance to the penetration of their chosen organ. However, the ear variation is secretly equipped with sensors, presumably because most would rather lose an ear than an eye. These sensors record the player's vitals and report them to a device disguised as a watch, allowing for cheating via reading the physiological responses of the player wearing the ear drill.
