The series is made up of an ongoing series, Judge Dredd , and occasionally a miniseries. There is also a third series, titled Judge Dredd - Classics , which is a republishing, in color, of the original British stories and is not part of the IDW continuity. The series included several long-term plot elements, such as rebelling robots, a Judge serial killer and the moon Titan , where ex-Judges go. The four-issue mini-series Judge Dredd — Year One began publishing in March , and is set during Dredd's first year as a judge. They are more than willing to sit back and have their Earth-bound agents buy out the competition with legitimate tactics.

He first appeared in the second issue of AD , which is a British weekly anthology comic. He is the magazine's longest-running character, and in he got his own title, the Judge Dredd Megazine. He also appears in a number of film and video game adaptations. Judge Dredd is a law enforcement and judicial officer in the dystopian future city of Mega-City One , which covers most of the east coast of North America. He is a " street judge ", empowered to summarily arrest, convict, sentence, and execute criminals. Judge Dredd stories often satirize American and British culture, with a focus on authoritarianism and police brutality. Later, he was portrayed by Karl Urban in the adaptation Dredd.
Judge Joseph Dredd is the titular character of the Judge Dredd universe. Fargo , and is the most feared, respected, and widely known of all the Judges. Judge Dredd first appeared in Prog 2 of AD and is the longest running character therein, having appeared in all but a handful of Progs. In June of and September of movies based on Judge Dredd were released. On their album, American thrash band Anthrax dedicated a song to the character titled "I Am the Law". This comic was previously brought to the big screen in with Sylvester Stallone and in with Karl Urban in the lead role. Now, the enforcer created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra returns to Mega City One, not for a cinematic experience, but this time for episodic adventures, aiming to ensure law and justice in the city. Sadly, the release date or window wasn't announced by the producers yet. But they confirmed its development. To address this, the so-called Judges are created, individuals who simultaneously take on the roles of police, jury, and judge. In extreme cases, a Judge can make life-and-death decisions.
