Just trying to have a nice easy place to direct people to rather than digging up an old thread with these comments. Nobody wants to believe that moving from 35s to 37s should be that much more work. Slap them on, regear and roll on.
Acceleration is nice and I barely slip the clutch.

The consensus in the JK world is that much modification is needed, even on the JK Dana 44 front axle, when stepping up to 37's. Is the same true for the JL or are the redesigned Rubicon Dana 44 axles beefier in all the right places thus eliminating the need to modify them for 37's? It was a turd to drive. They just devalue your ride and don't really add much capability unless you are just out to rock crawl, which is pretty stupid. IF you can fab you can make your own for pretty cheap or look at synergy or metal cloak for good quality links that are going to hold up and not break the bank.. They are also daily drivers Im taking all things into consideration, thanks for the input. I too am on 37's with gears on a long arm lift with the 3. Its not a daily driver for me but between the wife and I it gets driven days during the week and its the only thing I get in on weekends. Basscat Member. Not a big concern. A properly set up jeep on 35's will run most trails out there. In the end I wound up with the build on the list for 37s, but ended up spending a bunch more to get it the way I wanted it in the first place. Is it really just the "Tennessee Honey" though?? If you are on the fence, go 37s.

My question is, will upgrading to a drilled and slotted rotor and heavy duty pad suffice or will I need to add a big brake kit? Now the next question is, is it necessary for awesome off road adventures, of course, at least that is what I tell my wife. Seems like everyone gets these smoking deals they have to build around. My Artec trusses are very important to me and my jeep is why. It really depends on how much you can afford to spend to make it all work together. But I really appreciate all the input. I too ran 4. Did everything, went everywhere, looked good. Just been meaning to add that truss bit. In the end I wound up with the build on the list for 37s, but ended up spending a bunch more to get it the way I wanted it in the first place. I know there is no firm correct answer here, looking for informed opinions and discussions more then anything.
