Ready to try embroidery? Jenny Hart founded Sublime Stitching in as a new model for hand embroidery design and resources in the US. She first began working in hand embroidery in the summer of , creating non-traditional, embroidered portraits of the famous and infamous in a traditional style of American hand embroidery. Recognizing a need to update lagging commercial design and educational resources for hand embroidery, she launched Sublime Stitching in She is an award-winning author of seven titles on embroidery for Chronicle Books including Stitch It Kit and Embroidered Effects , and her drawings and works in embroidery have been exhibited and published internationally. Hart's embroidered portrait, La Llorona , became a part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Renwick Collection during the 40 Under 40 survey exhibition.
