Jarnsmida Pitmines is one of the later regions you can visit in Svartalfheim. It's unique in that while you visit it very early in the game, you cannot freely explore it until much later. Further, it has to be revisited by going back through The Applecore mine, since it doesn't have any Mystic Gateways you can use when you pass through the first time. There is a Troll, however Kratos makes short work of it in the cutscene, so you don't have to fight it yourself. The only Raven in Jarnsmida Pitmines is found in the opening area where you first arrived on the crashed train car, and very close to a Mystic Gateway covered in fungi.

The Raven will be flying over the lake in the middle of the mine: look for a gold chain you can slide down on the North side of the lake. Specifically, it's in the same spot where you get the Legendary Chest described above, just to the left of it in fact. Not only are they filled to the brim with some nasty baddies, but they are also loaded with valuables. This will cause ore to clog up the trough, allowing you to take your axe back. This Artifact is found towards the end of the Jarnsmida Pitmines area. The only Artifact in Jarnsmida Pitmines is found in the opening area where you first arrived on the crashed minecart. Specifically, it's where the N Rune's torch is described above: after grappling across the gap, head left and you'll see it carved into the dirt wall. First fire an arrow at the obstruction, then freeze the section of the trough after the waterwheel section, making the water overflow. There is water pouring out of a trough and onto it. You will want to be using your Blades of Chaos more often than not, as it will hit the Wretches as you focus on killing the Bergsra Mother. You will end up on a bridge.
