Jack russell pups
The Jack Russell Terrier is a small terrier that has its origins in England. It is a lively, intelligent and determined breed that is also very affectionate with its family.
All Stonequarry Jack Russell Terrier puppies are raised on our property with many acres for them to run free and play. When born, the pups are kept inside the house in a nice warm, dry place until they are at least two to three weeks old. After this, they are moved to their outdoor kennel where they are set free to run and play as they please. Our pups are all vaccinated at six weeks of age, wormed every two weeks and micro-chipped before entering their new homes. All puppies must be eight weeks of age before they can go to their new homes.

The Jack Russell Terrier is a British breed of small terrier. It is principally white-bodied and smooth-, rough- or broken-coated, and can be any colour. It derives from dogs bred and used for fox-hunting in North Devon in the early nineteenth century by a country parson , Jack Russell — for whom the breed is named — and has similar origins to the modern Fox Terrier. Though closely similar, it is a distinct and different breed from the Parson Russell Terrier. Jack Russells are an energetic breed that rely on a high level of exercise and stimulation. It has gone through several changes over the years, corresponding to different use and breed standards set by kennel clubs. Recognition by kennel clubs for the Jack Russell breed has been opposed by the breed's parent societies — which resulted in the breeding and recognition of the Parson Russell terrier. Jack Russells have appeared many times in film, television, and print — with several historical dogs of note. The small white fox-working terriers we know today were first bred by the Reverend John "Jack" Russell , a parson and hunting enthusiast born in , [4] and they can trace their origin to the now extinct English white terrier. An important attribute in this dog was a tempered aggressiveness that would provide the necessary drive to pursue and bolt the fox, without resulting in physical harm to the quarry and effectively ending the chase, which was considered unsporting. It is unlikely, however, that any dogs alive today can be proved to be descendants from Trump, as Russell was forced to sell all his dogs on more than one occasion because of financial difficulty, and had only four aged and non-breeding terriers left when he died in The Fox terrier and Jack Russell terrier type dogs of today are all descended from dogs of that period.

Although a distinct breed now, they were developed in the United States from the Parson Russell Terrier lines of the mids that were originally developed in England and in Australia for fox hunting. The Jack Russell may share a history with the Parson Russell Terrier and is often confused with other small terrier breeds, but they are in a class of their own. They are often known for their robust personality. They are also one of the most popular dog breeds. The stocky and athletic Jack Russell still has a strong yearning to be a hunter in its bloodlines and will be happiest in a lifestyle that allows them to be more active. They are by no means a lazy lap dog even if they enjoy some relaxation and cuddles every now and then. The Jack Russell Terrier is a loyal and affectionate companion. In fact, they are one of the most affectionate dog breeds and thrive on being near their favorite humans. Well-socialized, they get along well with children and other dogs within the family.

A playful and athletic breed with a big personality. Once used to help hunters by driving foxes from their lairs, the Jack Russell Terrier is a joyful little dog with plenty of spunk and personality. These charming dogs are known for their bold and feisty temperament, and they are quite entertaining to be around. They're smart, but have a tendency to be a bit stubborn, making training slightly difficult. That said, this isn't an ideal breed for novice dog owners. Jack Russell Terriers love having a job to do, and they can become bored easily if not given something interesting to do. These dogs also require lots of daily exercise. Without enough, they can become destructive out of boredom. The Jack Russell is friendly toward humans but may be aggressive toward smaller animals that resemble prey. As far as children go, Jack Russells get along well with older kids but are less patient around toddlers and babies.
