At Immaculata University team spirit is found everywhere with our Mighty Macs. Thirty percent of our undergraduate students choose to represent Immaculata in a sport or multiple sports. In addition to excelling in sports, our student-athletes consistently earn recognition for their academic achievements as well. The Eagles took to the pitch at Cathedral Tuesday, March 5th for the opening game of the season. Stellar defense lead by Claire Smith and Clara Mahoney made some extraordinary saves in goal. It was a very physical game, with defensie on display. The Eagles were lead to vicotry by 8th grade student Eloise Ekstrand, who scored all but 5 points. The unexpected longshots from the East Coast played themselves into national recognition as they took down college and university teams from all across the United States. With an original team of 11 women, they shocked the world in that first year, and would do the same for many more years to come.
