For this purpose, the effect of translations in the formation of the national literature cannot be denied. In this study, the Turkish translations of Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities , which have been translated by two different publishers into Turkish, are compared with each other to scrutinize to what extent the language, culture, literary features of the original text are transferred into the target language. In doing so, the study also analyzes translation approaches and strategies adopted by two translators in the translation process.
