Symin sells pictures only by category, meaning the exact entry Link purchases is random unless he only has one entry to buy in the category. He cannot target items he does not have a valid, photographed entry for; although this does not distinguish between entries Link has purchased and taken for himself. If Link completes the entire Compendium, through either photographing for himself or through purchase, Symin will be amazed and give him the Classified Envelope as a reward.
