Also: there is a fork when you are descending the blue lifeblood room in the abyss, the right path leads to the charm, but i wasnt able to take the left path, is it just a bunch of spikes to hurt you, or is there another item down there? Don't the faces lining the walls look familar? There are no other items in the Lifeblood room. As for that extra room, as Vulkax said, the faces should be similar to something you already have In the Lifeblood room, the other path just led to getting an arcane egg, if I remember correctly.

It is the place of origin of the Void , a substance found at the bottom of the Abyss. The area itself contains a giant chasm which is littered with the shells of Vessels who were born in the Abyss and then discarded. To the very west is an altar surrounded by numerous screaming faces where the Abyss Shriek Spell can be acquired.

Hornet starts the game with 5 Masks and can obtain more. Use Crystal Heart towards the right to reach the other side.

The Abyss lies below Hallownest, placing it at the southern-most area in Hollow Knight. After you explore this level, your Knight will come out even stronger and more powerful than he was when he arrived here. Once you arrive, rest at the bench first, then use Crystal Heart facing left to get to the central area of the Ancient Basin. Once you reach the other side, drop down, walk to your left, and drop down again. Keep heading further down from here.
