The Hive is a Location in Hollow Knight. Please see Walkthrough for other areas. The Hive is an area that consists of a large community of bees and warriors in which a queen ruled and eventually, grew large until it could no longer leave - it was hidden away and was walled off from the kingdom of Hallownest to try and protect itself from the spread of The Infection. To reach The Hive, you'll need to find the Tram Pass which is found at the Failed Tramway in the northeast side of Deepnest and you'll need to have the Vengeful Spirit spell and at least the Monarch Wings and Mantis Claw abilities for traversing the area. Once you have the Tram Pass , ride the tram and go to the eastern side of the map towards Kingdom's Edge. From the tram, head east until you see a few small bees called Hivelings flying around, this indicates that you're near the entrance. Just behind the bees is a breakable wall which can only be destroyed by using the Vengeful Spirit spell - use the spell to open up the path that will take you to The Hive. Upon respectively arriving into The Hive, continue pushing through by going northeast into the next section, then drop all the way to the bottom, and then head west to find a bench. When you're done resting, continue pressing onto the east side of the area until you reach the elevated platforms. You'll encounter enemies such as a Husk Hive that spawns a couple of the Hiveling enemies upon death and a Hive Soldier that tracks the movement of The Knight before it attacks aggressively. From the elevated platforms, make your way to the top and then go west into the next section. Now, you should find yourself in a room where you'll encounter a new enemy by the elevated platforms called a Hive Guardian which are these overgrown bees that will aggressively charge towards The Knight's position and bounce off of surfaces.
Same arena as the base game fight but will not start the fight off with the Swarm Release attack. Now it's nothing more than a poisonous tomb full of monsters and madness. Geo Deposit x 10 2 only accessible through north entrance.
Plus the remains towards the outside of the Hive on the right made me excited for a really great boss fight. From what the bee spirit said I feel like the bees were one of the most rounded cultures in the game yet we got very little of them. It was lackluster. Bees make one of the most awesome bosses in video games and it's just sad you didn't take the opportunity. Bad idea just for lore. Even when I love The Hive it would really mess up the lore of the bees. The bees are not part of the kingdom, just neighbors, like the Mantis and the Spiders and also his queen is dead and all the bees infected so it would have no sense But maybe there could be a DLC where you can come back to the memories of the Ancient HIve, or maybe in the Hornet DLC.
Learn how to defeat the Hive Knight in Hollow Knight! One of these enemies is the most brave and skilled knight of the Hive, the Hive Knight. Even though it is apparent that the queen in the background has already passed away, the Hive Knight still protects her in hopes that she will wake up again. Defeat the Hive Knight, and the Knight will gain access to the Hiveblood Charm, which can heal the last Mask lost without having to use Focus and makes the enemies in the Hive passive to the Knight. The Hive Knight will leap to move around the arena. The Hive Knight can also perform this attack in the air if he teleports near the Knight and the Knight is in the air. The range of the attack would be slightly wider if this happens. The honey orbs will form one after another quickly, and no two orbs will occupy the same row or column as they vibrate in their positions.

Hive Queen Vespa is a spirit in Hollow Knight. She gives information on the history of the Hive. Vespa was the queen of the Hive, a tribe that is walled off from the lands of the Pale King. Vespa eventually grew so large that she could no longer leave the Hive. At some point in time, Vespa died, causing the Hive to become consumed by the Infection. After Hive Knight , Vespa's former protector, is defeated and the Hiveblood Charm is acquired, Vespa's spirit can be found in the same area that Hive Knight is fought. Her corpse can be seen in this room in the background.

The Bench in the Hot Spring is missing. The amount of work that has gone into even small bits of the game is pretty amazing. This is ultimately revealed to be a promise of glory for himself. You are a surprising fellow, ohoho! Lifeblood Masks, granted by Lifeblood needles, are temporary masks. Steady Body is very strong against Hive Knight because it allows the Knight to maintain pressure. As such, the Knight has more opportunities to move Hive Knight than many other bosses. Hollow Knight Beta - Sly voice. You'll encounter enemies such as a Husk Hive that spawns a couple of the Hiveling enemies upon death and a Hive Soldier that tracks the movement of The Knight before it attacks aggressively. Creatures turn mad and travellers are robbed of their memories. They are strong, but they are also slaves. Gruz Mother's corpse shows a ribcage. Bad idea just for lore. Quick Focus makes it safer to heal.
The Hive is a large community of bees hidden away below Kingdom's Edge. Particular to the Hive are structures built out of brown and translucent honey-like materials.
Teleport: Elder Hu warps from one area to another to avoid attacks or set up his own. I'll be heading back down below as soon as possible. Sheo refers to her as "mysterious Ze'mer". There's no need for unnecessary haste. Brooding Mawlek has a different explosion sound when killed and roars when it is defeated. Ring Slam: Elder Hu summons a row of rings in midair, interspersed with several safe gaps, before quickly slamming them all down onto the ground simultaneously. Plus the remains towards the outside of the Hive on the right made me excited for a really great boss fight. The Five Great Knights of Hallownest once stood beneath the throne as the kingdom's protectors. Sprite Hollow Knight Beta - Shade behaviour. Hive Knight can be fought in the furthest room in the Hive where the giant lifeless body of the queen lies.
