I chose Texas Tech because when I visited the campus I automatically fell in love and felt like I had found my future home.
My preferred medium is currently watercolor, but I also enjoy acrylics, ink drawing, and calligraphy. My work is colorful and often described as whimsical, with a focus on feminine energies, fungi, and "dream-scapes". My art has granted me countless opportunities and a whole slew of enduring relationships. Living in Corvallis, OR there was once a time when I was running two local studios, promoting the Corvallis Arts Walk, volunteering for multiple local non-profits, and running the social media pages for all of them - All while working a full-time job and trying to promote my own artwork - I thrived in the chaos! Then the pandemic hit, and everything was suddenly halted. I realized then that I needed to reprioritize. Being stuck at home, I was making more artwork than I had time for before - The difference this time was that I was making it for myself.

Montevallo is this unconventional oasis for 6, residents. We take pride in our unique assets — The University of Montevallo, Alabama National Cemetery, American Village, our tree carving park, our vibrant arts community and our high-quality and walkable p educational system. However, like many small towns, we were haunted with voices of despair, recognizing that not all needs are being met. City streets were crumbling; city hall was leaking; our police facility was inadequate and our youth underserved. In short, we desired more, but given limited resources, became satisfied with the status quo.
