Hoid the shard master January 11, in Mistborn, hoid. WOA: He helps hoid Terris refugees and his foot prints are seen near the Well of Ascension although I think this may have been retroactively changed, hoid.

Hoid
Would someone with a strong moral compass such as Kaladin and Dalinar consider Wit's alignment moral? Dalinar is more likely to understand than Kaladin, because Dalinar's been in positions. Kaladin is less likely to, but it depends on what aspects of what Hoid's doing you're taking about. At the end of Oathbringer, Hoid is there, and he uses the Breath to talk to the doll, and he gives the doll to K-whoever - he gives it to someone named Cob and Kheni. So, is Kheni a Parshman? Is the fact that Hoid has been a Dawnshard related in some way with the "bearer of the first gem" title? So, I just had a question about the name Hoid. Is there anything you can give me the "O" and the "I" and the "D"? The only ones that have the "O" and the "I" are these two right here. Am I onto anything here, or is that just a coincidence? Yes, in this [ The Final Empire ] he shows up briefly, Kelsier meets with a blind beggar at one point who is introduced by the name Hoid and that is the name Wit uses through most of the books. If you read Warbreaker he's in that one, there is a storyteller who uses dust and sand. He's in most of them Way of Kings is where you see him the most he's not in the other ones nearly as much but he's mentioned by name in most of them.
What could possibly have induced Hoid hoid give up being a Dawnshard? And that's what I'm saying right there when I say sacrifice Roshar, hoid.
Hey, all. Brandon here. With the release of this book, there have been some minor updates to continuity that I think some of you will find relevant. For those unfamiliar with the backstory, this little behind-the-scenes action has been a source of some consistent problems. The outline, and original draft, of Well had Vin and Elend traveling up to Terris, then into the mountains, to find the Well itself.
Hoid is former King Elhokar 's Wit and entertainer. He knows useful, important things. The King's Wit was not a silly court fool such as one might find in other kingdoms. He was a sword, a tool maintained by the king. Insulting others was beneath the dignity [of] the king, so just as one used gloves when forced to handle something vile, the king retained a Wit so he didn't have to debase himself to the level of rudeness or offensiveness. Hoid is trying to accomplish something on Roshar , something that he thinks is the most important purpose he's ever had. His "old friend" i. Hoid was born on the planet where all of this started. Long ago, in the early history of the cosmere.

He might even be as old as creation itself. I don't know what you are talking about. You get him out of sorts there. But it doesn't mean that every motivation he has is purely altruistic or purely aligned with what the people on Roshar would want. He knows useful, important things. Hoid cannot directly physically harm people; this is an involuntary trait that is the result of changes to his spirit made during his time as a Dawnshard. Questioner 1 I didn't realize it was a shared universe. In his pack is a small jar, sealed at the top. He deeply enjoys storytelling, and has learned many stories over his long life. Rock also described an encounter with him in the Horneater Oceans. She easily stabbed him through the throat, but had Renarin heal him.
That will be relevant in just a minute.
During Hoid's conversation with Shallan, he says that he knew of a group like the Cult of Moments, describing them as equally foolish and dangerous. Mostly, I want the stories to be enjoyable and self-contained. Hoid has a few rules of thumb, but he does not have the same rules that the Shards have to follow, which is basically one of the big points that makes Hoid do what he does. Someone tried to assassinate Wit during The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance, though it's not clear if that was the same someone. He looks for ineffable things that are difficult to put a finger on. And so the crossover is all just in the background. Questioner 1 How does he know so much information about what's going on, and how is he always in the right place at the right time? JavaScript is disabled. Questioner 1 I didn't realize it was a shared universe. He only said "Life before death, little one," and avoided the rest, which contradicts his point made to Dalinar about his views on the ends justifying the means. I own the place, technically. These things aren't mutually exclusive. Personally, I think its better to start with something other than Stormlight, get your feet wet a bit and then you get some of the Cosmere references in Stormlight.
Yes well!
Yes, really. I agree with told all above.
