Hags in Baldur's Gate 3 are not to be underestimated. If you ran into Auntie Ethel in Act 1 , you'll know just how difficult they are to beat. Defeating a hag is a matter of besting their trickery rather than brute force, so it's no surprise you will find survivors of hag encounters seeking refuge in Act 3. Plastered around the city of Baldur's Gate, you may have found a flyer for a meeting of hag survivors. You've survived a hag, so invite yourself in. The first step to helping the folks who've been lucky enough to walk away from a hag is to read their posters.

If you thought you were done with Auntie Ethel after the first act in Baldur's Gate 3 , you're in for a treat. Having fled the homey sanctuary of her swamp, she's sought out the bustling city streets of Baldur's Gate and the masses of those who think magic can solve any problem. Causing havoc and wreaking chaos around the city, you'll be roped once more into killing the wicked old hag. With familiar and new faces abound, an interesting story, and no small amount of extremely valuable loot, this foray into Ethel's embrace once more is well worth your time. Updated January 17, by Alexis Campbell: Updated to include bug fixes to the questline from recent patches , allowing for alternative solutions to saving Vanra and freeing Mayrina. To officially begin this quest, you must find the passed-out pamphlets for Hag Survivors around the city. The house will have a request to join the Hag Survivors inside its mailbox. Take it, and lockpick your way into the home where you can and must pick up one Anti-Hag Support Group Poster. Alternatively, you can find one of these posters on the billboard to the left of the gallows as you enter the Lower City for the first time near Basilisk Gate Waypoint. Having taken the poster, your map will be updated with a marker for "Old Garlow's. The home will have an eviction notice in its mailbox, several hanging flags on ropes above, and be full of holes. The plaque outside the door should read "Old Garlow's. You'll be accused of being aligned with the hags, so you must pass a Persuasion or Intimidation check to assure them otherwise. On a failure, they'll attack. If you are attacked, you only need to attack one person: the dragonborn, Jatlo.
When the dialogue ends, you can attack her. It teleports across the room if players try to pick it up or damage it, but it never leaves the floor it is on.
Help the Hag Survivors quest in BG3 makes you confront the minions of Auntie Ethel and help the poor people who were once her victims. She is a monstrous hag that you previously encountered in Overgrown Tunnel during Act 1. Completing the quest is not difficult, provided you follow this guide. You can locate Hag Survivors in BG3 by finding the anti-hag support poster. The poster is near the Basilisk Gate , where you will find a cart and board. If you inspect them individually, you will finally notice an anti-hag poster that gives you more insight into the quest.

Completing Quests allows players to learn more about the world and characters in Baldur's Gate 3, as well as earning more loot and experience to become more powerful. There are several ways this encounter can end , and depending on how players handle it, this quest can have consequences later in the game. One such consequence is the quest "Help the Hag Survivors. Another way to start it is to come across the building where the group is currently hiding. Either way, the reception the party gets is far from warm.

You'll get a Staff of Interruption and access to a safe on the first floor of the house with research notes in it. I hope they fix this. After collecting the Staff, talk to Mayrina again. Whomever you choose must be able to deal damage equal to the mushroom's healthpool within one turn - alone or collectively. One deadly creature is known as the Hag. You can find the poster at the Basilisk Gate in the Lower Cities. However, when you arrive, the building will be locked.
Without it, you will not be able to save Vanra. She'll try to convince you to ignore Lora or kill her, and if you refuse, she'll reveal herself as Auntie Ethel. Ethel is invisible, standing guard up a set of stairs and in the center of the path. In this new area, you'll find four victims of Ethel's Masks of Servitude. If you thought you were done with Auntie Ethel after the first act in Baldur's Gate 3 , you're in for a treat. The only disappointing about this is that I can't talk to her corpse again to really rub it in her face about her hag daughter. Best Cleric Spells. I'm at the Ethel fight and whenever I throw the Hag's Bane, it just does 6 blunt damage and doesn't apply the status that makes her vomit the kid up. Finish her with a series of strong blows, and combat will end even if there are masked victims still standing. For this fight, focus above all else on the mushrooms. You can also complete this mission by simply defeating Auntie Ethel via non-lethal damage, leaving her at 1 hp and knocked out. They are in the house directly southwest of the Waypoint.
