Happy little soles
So happy little soles was I talking about last month? Oh yes, happy little soles, the importance of shoes that fit properly and the benefits of opting for barefoot designs for toddlers. The second of my barefoot shoes reviews is thanks to Happy Little Soles who specialise in sourcing and stocking a wide range of barefoot shoes to suit every type of foot and every situation, from school shoes to snow boots.
When her daughter Keala encountered issues with balance as a young girl, Kate grew frustrated with the footwear options available for children in most stores at the time. For Kate, it was an aha moment. Her daughter stopped falling over, and the family embraced barefoot shoes. With Happy Little Soles, Kate embarked on a mission to make the highest-quality barefoot shoes readily available to children — and, more recently, adults — across the U. At the same time, they recognize the need to protect little feet from tough terrain and the elements. From school shoes to snow boots, Happy Little Soles carefully sources a wide variety of barefoot brands and styles for every stage of development and every shape and type of foot.

Happy Little Soles is a family store run by a fantastic lady and barefoot enthusiast, Kate! I think finding the right shoes for a child is massively important and have always advocated that being barefoot as much as possible is ideal for the ever expanding tootsies and developing postures of our little ones. When Jude was younger, he wore orthotics inside his shoes that strapped round his ankles and for a short while went part the way up his lower leg but after couple of years of watching him struggle to walk and sweating away in the summer with his clumpy shoes, I read up on foot structure and decided to ditch the orthotics and let him go au natural. No more frustrating orthotic appointments with Jude having to sit with plaster on his feet to make moulds…he was FREE to move naturally and most importantly, work his ankle and foot muscles. We personally select every pair of shoes on our website, making sure they meet our strict criteria to be as close to barefoot as possible. And BOY do they do that. I stood Emmeline on a bit of paper and folded it in front of her toes and behind her heel and then measured between the marks. Kate also asked for photos of her feet from each angle which was kind of embarrassing as on one foot, Emmeline has a black toenail and on the other she had a big scratch down her big toe. As you can see within the first wear, Emmeline the nutty toddler was loving her new shoes yes she is running through the alcohol section of a supermarket. These shoes are so gorgeous!
I sit a lot during the day so it is very refreshing on my tired legs!
We received a lovely blue Elephant Rooty Rug to try out earlier this summer to the great excitement of my little girl. As a committed barefoot family and a yoga practitioner I am always keen to try anything that helps with our foot health. The Rooty aims to keep feet active and to bring the positive aspects of walking on natural, uneven surfaces into the home. Walking across the rug forces the feet to exercise in a subtle and random way and is a fun way to build muscle strength. It is particularly helpful where children suffer from weakened foot muscles and need to exercise without being aware that is what they are doing!

The qualities that most people want in winter shoes are Warm and Waterproof, but those are often hard to find in one package. Want other BIG lists? Check here for barefoot shoes by color, type, and more new lists added all the time. Also be sure to check out the Reviews page for the latest full review and my Instagram or Facebook pages for sneak peeks of reviews to come. Lastly, before we dig in, some of these are affiliate links and using them to make a planned purchase supports lists like this, reviews, and the guides that help take the mystery out of buying barefoot shoes. Fall Wildling information can be found here. In the past, they have relied on wool but this year have diversified into warm lined models that are fully vegan yet still toasty.

Affordable Barefoot Kids Shoes. Thank you, I think so too. But be warned, the microfiber is not very breathable and ours got pretty stinky — thankfully we were able to wash them easily. I stood Emmeline on a bit of paper and folded it in front of her toes and behind her heel and then measured between the marks. Search Search Search. Ordering multiple pairs can make it more worthwhile, but the cost is calculated by weight so it does increase as you order more pairs. Scroll to Top. Do you have a view on the brand with the most cushioning? Oh these are adorable!!! In general this brand fits medium width and high volume, so we usually get the extra insole for my son with low volume feet. But there are limits to the water resistance — they will get soaked if you stay in water long enough and then can be difficult to dry I swear by my vent dryer! The toe box is particularly roomy so ideal for wide feet once children become active, confident walkers their feet, like the rest of them, lose their chubb so the whole way you buy shoes is worth adjusting too. Thank goodness for warm barefoot winter boots that are warm, water resistant, and still flexible and foot shaped. I hope they rectify it soon. The Scuttle is listed on the Happy Little Soles website as suiting a medium to wide foot so it confirmed the need to start again with selecting a brand more suited to a medium width foot.

Even though this brand only has a handful of sneaker options, we had to include them because they were such a home run with our families. Shop Zeazoo. E chose which pair we tried first — he was rather taken with the face and little tufty mane on his Zebra shoes. You can be confident that all 10 of the kids barefoot shoe brands listed in this post meet my requirements for healthy footwear , but here is a comparison of their shape and width. Cons: Limited style options Only casual sneakers available. That means this brand could be problematic if your child has extra thick, high volume feet. We personally select every pair of shoes on our website, making sure they meet our strict criteria to be as close to barefoot as possible. Cons: Shipping to the USA is expensive. And BOY do they do that. Happy Little Soles is a family store run by a fantastic lady and barefoot enthusiast, Kate! Kate also asked for photos of her feet from each angle which was kind of embarrassing as on one foot, Emmeline has a black toenail and on the other she had a big scratch down her big toe. Unlike most kids brands, Zeazoo offers a lot of customizations! Checking out is a barefoot walk in the park when you make your purchases on Happy Little Soles using Amazon Pay. Besides the athletic styles, the only other Saguaro kids shoe I recommend is the Defender.
Unequivocally, ideal answer
