I will also rethink what data I show for as I want to better show which authors picked which books visually. The year is coming to an end. Time to look back and reflect. What are the books you've read in ? Which books made you change your mind or you simply enjoyed? And which books would you recommend to others for ? Fiction: "Yumi and the Nightmare Painter" and "Tress of the Emerald Sea" - Two of Brandon Sanderson's "secret projects" that he released this year and easily my favorites of the bunch.

Even with all the spoiler, a really great book. Thanks for sharing! And another plus was that it was about game dev, quite fun to learn about it through fiction. So is Gal saying this experiment is not reproducible or that it doesn't demonstrate loss aversion? If you're being a "nice guy" just to get something, then you're not actually a "nice guy", you're just play acting in order to get what you want. It's less than pages but a very dense and tough read. You can read Thinking, Fast and Slow and learn why we fail as we do. The book is very old, first published in , but I did not know about it till my colleague brought it to work recently. Will recommend. Practicing mental hygiene by eliminating the very possibility of interruption is vastly easier than reminding yourself to resist Every. Perpetually re-readable as well. First individual's "perceived best interest" is often very far off of their real interest. I reread it every 2 years or so. My takeaways from the series: Bacteria and mosses and lichens live interesting lives; NASA's "shout" to Voyager 2 risked exposing us to other life in this dark forest; and the night sky is even more wonderful to behold.
