Jackson Guitars was born thanks to the hard work of Grover Jackson and a fledgling guitar god in the making, Randy Rhoads. After making guitars under the Charvel name in the '70s and '80s, Grover Jackson was contacted by Randy to build him a distinctive guitar, and the pair quickly designed the "Concorde"- a streamlined, offset V-shaped white guitar with neck-through-body construction. This iconic custom guitar was unique enough that Grover decided to put his own name on it instead of the Charvel name, and Jackson Guitars was born. Tragically, Rhoads was killed in a March plane crash while on tour.
