The next phase of my internship was the most exciting and perhaps a little bit challenging as well. The field was 40 kilometers south of Fort McMurray in a remote location. Now keep in mind I was born and raised in Karachi, where extreme hot temperatures are a norm and I was headed to a place which was a polar opposite of it. Yes, I was a bit anxious, but I was also thrilled to have this opportunity. It was clear to me that this was not going to be a usual office job that I was used to.
