Secret Level is a GeekTyrant Podcast production with hosts Joey Paur and Billy Fisher, geektyrant, who take a fun and intriguing deep dive into all of the geeky things that they love involving movies, TV, video games, and more! Simple things, like carrying Dungeons and Dragons dice or donning a Mister Spock costume for Halloween could lead to endless dead arms and a solo trip to the prom. The LA native Free Reyes heard it all and probably even experienced some of it. Being a geek was decidedly cool, however, by , when Reyes and his childhood friend, Joey Paur started a blog called GeekTyrant. Written by fans, and for fans, the site capitalized on the trend of comic book heroes and villains making the jump from paperbound to the silver screen—and took off. These days, somewhere around a million geeks and the people who love them visit the site every month. Video game reviews, cosplay and fan art are now as common on the site as movie reviews. In addition to his duties at GeekTyrant, Reyes is also working on a documentary about the movie blog industry.

It was kind of like going back to why I liked making movies. That's part of the charm. He's both a visionary and a very classical filmmaker at the same time. We did a lot of that on Haunting in Venice as well. What you see in the film is very much in-camera. So, yes, I think I enjoyed that aspect of the filmmaking of these last two films I've made. I think I've enjoyed immensely that reliance on practical techniques.
