The movie does a great job summarizing the life of a man that helped create nations. In the beginning of the movie he is shown fighting racial prejudice in South Africa as a victim. After his victory there, he just goes to India. It was not real clear exactly why, but I would assume he had heard of the injustices. The movie does leave out a lot; I think, but to tell such a story as this is a grand undertaking.
