My wife and I had travelled past the Galicia Restaurant and Tapas Bar many times on our way into the centre of Croydon but on this ocasion we decided to get off our bus and have a late afternoon meal. We were greeted at the The restaurant itself was fairly busy with many tables occupied by families eating and drinking and enjoying the atmosphere. We took this as a very good sign as a quiet eatery , through our experience, has sometimes proved disappointing.. However, having placed our food and wine orders, we were soon tucking into our chosen dishes with relish. I had a plate of beans with pieces of ham and black pudding. It was very tasty and very filling. My wife had her favourites of prawns and potatoes and tomatoes which she said was perfectly cooked and tasty. Both of us fully enjoyed the bottle of red wine that we drank with our food.
